Most folks won’t be able to check out what we’re up to right this second, but in a few weeks, we’ll start opening up to the public when we hit Beta. There’s so much going on right now with our new game, it’s hard to find time even to put it in the news page, but since there was a countdown for it and everything–well, it just wouldn’t be right to let it expire silently.
So, while we’re not ready to show to the world what we’re working on yet, I’ll mention what it is: an online web game. I’d say we’re working on a Facebook game, but that would be disingenuous to the effort we’re undertaking. It’s capable of being played through our own website, via Facebook, and soon many other social networks. It has three different ways to pay for microtransactions (and many more coming) so the server-side platform itself is substantial and a separate technology from the game itself. There’s a lot of cool stuff under the hood, in other words, which will make it easier for us to just make great game experiences online.
There’s going to be more details soon on the game itself, but for the moment, I can just say we’re really excited about it and hope you will be too.
