Tonight, a bunch of game developers and non-game developers met at KLRU Studio 6A, former home of Austin City Limits, and filmed (but not broadcast–yet?) 7 different speakers doing 10-minute Microtalks on a wide range of subjects. I was pleasantly surprised at how different and interesting all the different speakers were… and I’m not just saying that because I was one of them. I think we all brought very different perspectives to the evening.
To everyone who showed up, thanks for taking the night away from your otherwise exciting Friday to listen and interact. As I promised, you can click here to get to my slides. Sorry, they’re in OpenOffice format, but that’s what I use. I actually had to skip some parts of the earlier slides to get through all the absolutely necessary material in time, not to mention the two slides I had to skip entirely at the end. If you switch to the “Notes” tab, you can see my talking points there, which should fill in the missing bits.
And thanks to the IGDA for putting on the show and allowing me to take part in it.
