Puzzling Paws is an unfolding story about two friends, an innocent kitten named Scratch and her protective bulldog pal, Bruiser. One minute, they are having a picnic and after a blinding flash of light, find themselves stranded in a strange world full of intrigue and surprises. Their only hope to find a way home is to unravel the mystery of this place, one life-sized puzzle at a time. Along the way, our heroes make new friends and meet up with old adversaries, each of whom play a role in their journey through the strange land. Puzzling Paws offers several tutorial levels that teach important gameplay tips, followed by an adorable story that takes place across 48 puzzles. For the people that want even more, another 70 mind-melting puzzles are unlockable in the Challenge Section. To cap it off, 5 Mega-Locked challenge puzzles put you to the ultimate sanity test.

Puzzling Paws is a complete reboot of “Bruiser & Scratch”, with extra attention paid to all manner of details. With the (WiiWare-imposed) size restriction lifted, the game is much improved:

Note: There will be puzzles that stump you, for a little while at least. Discovering and conquering challenges is what makes playing puzzle games worthwhile. However, with Undo, you rarely get stuck after making one bad move. It still costs you a move, but you get to try again.
